Avoid snagging the fabric on poles or nearby objects, and allow adequate spacing between flags. Always dismantle your flag in adverse weather, particularly in strong winds (above Beaufort scale 4) or heavy rain, which adds extra weight and strain on the pole. Flag lifespan depends on usage and weather conditions; with regular use, a flag can realistically last up to six months. Base options should be selected based on your flag size and the type of surface the flag will be used on.
