Our timeline

Ultima Displays is part of the P3 Group, which opened its first production facility of Exhibition Solutions in Corby, England in 1970 with the Nimlok brand.

Following the formation of Ultima Displays in 1999, the company enjoyed significant growth in the UK and from 2009 onwards, we expanded our geographic footprint and have since expanded our operations to France, Italy, Poland, Spain and Portugal, offering local expertise and efficient logistics throughout Europe. This far-reaching presence has enabled Ultima Displays to become the supplier of choice to the European visual communication market.

We are the original manufacturer and supplier for many of the industry’s most well-known display products, and we continuously invest in developing new products, services, and manufacturing equipment to make sure we stay at the forefront of our industry.

The beginnings of the adventure

1999 Ultima Displays UK
Ultima Displays was established in Corby, England, offering a complete range of B2B portable and foldable display solutions.

The P3 Group founded Orbus, our USA-based sister company. Orbus soon became the market leader for display solutions within North America.

The P3 Group established Ultima Canada, at the same time launching a Research & Development department to deliver even more product innovation.

We became an established leading OEM within the display solutions market for sourcing low-cost, high-quality manufactured solutions in China. With a significant investment in Research & Development, we were able to drive a leading-edge innovation pipeline and develop a suite of trademarked products.

2006 Development of the outdoor range
We extended our product range to include an outdoor collection, allowing us to offer a complete range of display solutions for all applications in one place. Ultima Displays passed the 150-employee mark and continued to grow.

Ultima Displays celebrated its 10th anniversary and began its expansion across Europe with the launch of Ultima Displays France, based in Nantes.

2010 Ultima Displays Italia & Portugal
We continued the expansion of our business across Europe, opening new locations in Monselice, Italy and Sintra, Portugal.

The addition of digital artwork and new print technology offered the opportunity to produce graphics content at a higher speed and lower cost than most channel dealers. We increased our product range to include portable displays and extended our service offering to include graphical print work through both UV and dye-sublimation investments.
2010 Expanding in graphics production

2011 Ultima Displays Polska
We opened a new Ultima Displays unit in Poland to meet the needs of the Eastern European market. The French business unit launched its first major investment, purchasing a large-format textile printer to increase production capacity and expedite the production process.

We expanded two of our key product ranges, adding Vector profiles to the modular stand collection, and enhanced the standard design collection with the new Formulate range.
2013 Expansion of the modular offer

2017–2019 Investments in printing technology
Major investments were made across the Group with the introduction of state-of-the-art printing technology through the purchase of Durst and HP large-format printers in France, Poland and the UK.

Having established a footprint across several European countries, we re-organised the separate business units into a unified European Group entity for improved collaboration and transparency.
